If you use google's calendar there is a simple fix for this.... (well... not really simple...) Follow the steps here http://www.insidefacebook.com/2009/02/15/how-to-sync-facebook-events-with-google-calendar/ and get your facebook calendar's URL (don't import this URL into gcal or you will still have the offset) Go to http://ical.dudeami.com/ and past the URL there with the offset to correct your timezone shift. Import the URL that you get back into gcal And then your pre will pull down the events in the proper timezone! You can even set a custom color for it... ^_^ (gcal can sometimes take up to an hour to pull your facebook data...)

Nice workaround, orb, I like it. I'd still prefer to have the timezone issue fixed (it's like they treat all times as PST when syncing), but your suggestion is very helpful for the interim. - C

I'm having the same issue as well. Palm: PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!! If you're using this a selling point for the phone, you should be sure it works correctly first!

That's not a solution, that's a workaround. Palm needs to sort this on their sync server. If it is advertised as syncing properly with Facebook directly, it should; we shouldn't have to turn it off and then sync via Google to get it into the right timezone. Not to mention that some of us may want our FB events color-coded differently, which we can do when they're separate accounts on the Pre, but not when the FB events are folded into the Google calendar on Google's end. FWIW, I'm also fairly certain that this is a recent problem, earlier events didn't seem to have this issue, but I can't be 100% on that.

I can color code my facebook differently, even syncing through gcal... Just put it on it's own calendar... (Although I still think they should fix the issue, it's more Facebook's problem for not including a timezone in the cal file... You can't create data that isn't there...)
