I have a Tungsten E2. I called tech support after losing the data on my calendar and was unable to retrieve anything since the last time it happened. Then, next time I used hot synch, I got a Fatal Alert message. Back with tech support, who had me do a hard reset. When I got to the bit about tapping the targets, I tapped endlessly and nothing happened. Conclusion: hardware problems, only solution replace the handheld at a cost of $150. Question: does anyone out there have an alternative solution? Are there places in the US that fix these things? Many thanks. Post relates to: Tungsten E2

www.pdaparts.com and www.usedpdaparts both offer repair services. Have you tried cleaning out under the frame of your screen? Dirt and grit accumulated under there can interfere with the digitizer function. Fold down the corner of a piece of paper and use it as a "scoop", underneath the edge all the way around the screen. Lots of crud will probably come out from there...hopefully will restore function. If not, give one of the two places listed above a try.
