Once you run the update, the patch installer is deleted. The playload, new daylight savings time files, get deployed and stay on the Palm.

If you hard reset your Palm for any reason, you will need to reinstall the update.

I installed this patch in the spring and when the change came then, everything went smoothly, both on my Palm and with the desktop calendar.  Just now, there were no issues with the Palm, but the Desktop calendar seems to think we're still on Daylight time.  I create an alarm and it goes off an hour late.  I have rebooted now since the clock change.

Does it have anything to do with the fact that I never got a notice on the PC that there was a clock change, possibly due to having the PC auto synchronize with a government server?

Update.  I went to the Day and Time setting in the Control Panel and clicked Automatically Detect Daylight Time off and on again, and suddenly the problem went away.

Has anyone noticed a sudden and rapid battery life issue since downloading the DST patch software? Ever since downloading earlier this year, my battery life is lousy. I even replaced the battery, and the new one loses battery life just as quickly.

I haven't had that problem.  My Z22 can go for days without a re-charge, in spite of reminders I have set to go off every four hours to take medication.  Frequently the alarm goes off four or five times before I get to it and that turns the Palm on each time.

I haven't noticed any degradation of my battery life since applying the update on any of my devices. The DST patch only updates the DST table in Palm OS. Nothing else should be effected.

Odd question of the week:  I had run the DST updater on my old 680, I just got a new one a few weeks ago- since it's well past this event do you think the newer ones have come with this update installed?  Is there a way to check?

N/M- I scrolled back through this thread & found the answer on page 2 or 3.  Thanks!  :smileyhappy:

On my 700WX Verizon, After installing my DST update, All of the all day events I create on the device, show up in outlook 2007 as 1:00Am to 1:00 am events.  I can not seem to fix it.  I tried patching a DST rule from MS and it did not fix it.  If I ammend the dates in Outlook, and sync then the events are moved to a previous day, when they look fine in Outlook.  Any ideas?

Will this problem never end?  I downloaded all the patches etc.  It still happens that if I change the time by checking automatically adjust to daylight savings time on my control panel on my computer, it changes all my appointments on the palm on the desk top.  The hand held (Lifedrive)  simply follows the desk top.  Last summer I just lived with my computer having the wrong time but I'm kind of sick of it.  Some people on this thread mentioned Microsoft Outlook, are they using Outlook to sync to rather than the palm desktop?  Would that help? If so, how do I do that.   I manually changed the clock on desk top and/or hand held back and forth.  No matter what I do, if my computer clock is right all the appointments are an hour off.  Grrrrr.

I am using the Palm Desktop with NO issues on the Daylight settings.  I have the Z22, Palm Desktop 4.2, and HotSync 6.0.1.  Also, I have my computer sync with some "clock in the sky" via the Date and Time Internet Server.  If it means anything, I didn't get the notice that my computer had changed to DST that I used to get some time in the past.  It just had the new time.  I DID get the notice on my Palm.
