Apps in Canada - Very Limited Choice - Why?

I'm with Bell Mobility, and have noticed that we only have free apps, and in a very small quantity. Does anyone know if and when this will be corrected?

Currently paid apps are only available for the continental US at this time. We hope to have the app catalog and those apps expanded to other areas such as Canada in the future but at this time we are bound to this limitation.

Sorry for no response. I often try to find time to visit the forums, but I have other duties that usually keep me preoccupied with other responsibilities.

I can't give an official statement as to why there is no paid applications available in the app catalog for Canada. Rest assured we are aware of the limitation and working quickly as possible to get it up and running.

Bell and Telus are bringing out the IPhone on the GSM protocol as we speak.  I agree with you on the limited apps in Canada and am frustrated with all the hype of the Palm Pre (I have one) but the reality is that it is not such a feature laden phone.  Small things such as deleting bulk emails is non existant (you must manually put each one in the delete folder, then manually delete each one in the delete folder), no included video application, etc.   I shall be getting the feature rich IPhone asap.
