Treo Pro Bug List

We have been reporting user experience her: http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?p=1509817#post1509817

Not to mention the bluetooth issue:  http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=171894&page=2

Would love to see some affirmative action from Palm.

Re: Treo Pro Bug List

I will look into these issues as you have addressed. As for the bluetooth disconnecting when you plug in the charger I have confirmed that this does look like a bug and have sent it to our engineering department to see if we can get any feedback.

Re: Treo Pro Bug List

[ Edited ]

Just checking to see how things are coming.

We have a 'Bug List' that has been created to tag down Confirmed Bugs with the Pro.

What we do is when someone thinks they have found a bug, others will check into it and see if they also have the issue.

Some may be particular to WM 6.1, but others have definitely been confirmed to be specific to the Pro.

Once confirmed Scottymomo will update Post #1 of this Thread:

http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=172582

I think Palm should take issues that are specific to Phone Use & Functions and Elevate them to Urgent.

I know you guys are busy, prolly trying to get the 800 worked out, but you don't get a second chance to make a first impression, and a good number of people are moving from POS to the Pro because if they love the Treo, the Pro is the most obvious upgrade.

So far the most annoying 'Phone Function' issues with the Pro are:

Bluetooth call Waiting, Cannot silence the Ringer by Pressing any Button, and one that Scottymomo hasn't updated to Post #1 is on certain occasions when a call is missed and you hit the green button check call history, it just starts calling back the last person who called.

Due to basically what is listed as priority issues, the bluetooth issues have been fixed first..Palm has released a patch to resolve the issues

Installation Instructions
• Connect your smartphone to its charger. It needs to be connected throughout the update.
• Open the file TreoProBTpatch.CAB save it to the root directory of a microSD card that is formatted to FAT32.
• To format the microSD card you must have an SD card reader and card adapter.
• Connect the SD card reader to a USB port on your computer.
• Insert the card into the SD card reader and on your desktop select My Computer from the Start Menu.
• Under Devices with Removable Storage select the drive associated with the card reader.
• Open the File menu (Ctrl + F) and select Format.
• In the File System drop down select FAT32 and select Start.
• After loading the file onto the microSD card insert the card into the Treo Pro. Once the card is inserted, Press Start on the device, select Programs and then select File Explorer. Choose Storage Card from the drop down menu and tap on the file “TreoProBTpatch.CAB”.
• After the update completes a message will prompt you to restart the device. Select OK and the device will restart.
Via Desktop Download

• Open the file TreoProBTpatch.CAB and SAVE it to the desktop.
• Connect your Treo Pro to the ActiveSync cable, and allow it to complete and ActiveSync operation.

• Press Start on the device,
select Programs, and select File Explorer.

• Tap the file location drop down in the upper left, and select My Device.

• Open the Program Files folder, and then open the TreoProBTpatch.CAB file. Select OK when prompted about the file conversion process.

Re: Treo Pro Bug List

I can say that they have been reported as bugs and Palm is investigating them and for a resolution on the matter, but can't give an eta as to when they will be resolved.

Re: Treo Pro Bug List

Treo Pro bugs I have found and would appreciate if any fixes?

1. Ringer switch - sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Sometimes you hear a ding after you slide then no sounds are muted. Needs a reboot to correct.

2. Wndows Sync - if I sync by WiFi and then try and sync in the cradle I cannot connect unless I reboot my laptop.

3. Sprite backup - version bundled with the Treo Pro cannot be completely uninstalled.

4. WiFi - sometimes passwords for WiFi connections disappear and have to re-entered.

Re: Treo Pro Bug List

I'm curious about replacing the cursed 800w with a Pro. I see from this thread that one Pro bug was fixed about a month after it was reported, but no others in roughly 3 months. Is that correct have others been fixed. For comparison, I know of no 800w bugs that have been fixed.
